Version 3.0 Pre-Release

Thanks to constant requests from prospective and new clients, we are pleased to announce that RHOSI will be moving to the Web! Indeed, version 3.0 of RHOSI is now in development, and will be based on Microsoft's Visual Studio and will be accessed entirely through the Internet. Powered by Microsoft's SQL Server database, this new version will be very fast and reliable.

One the of questions we get asked a lot is, "Why did you wait so long to move to a Web version?". Its' not that we didn't want to! Here are the two most important reasons for our perceived slow migration:

• First, most of our existing customers simply weren't ready for web-based software until a couple of years ago, at best. The availability of fast and reliable Internet access in all parts of the United States and Canada, and in most or all of our client sites, simply wasn't sufficient to warrant the development of this new version.
• Second, we just didn't feel we could get the user interface we really wanted with older web development tools. At least, not in an easily-maintained platform that would ensure reliability. Our customers certainly wouldn't stand for software that's not intuitive, responsive, and friendly.

So, now that this is out of the way, we're going full steam ahead with version 3.0! We expect to have a final release near June of 2007.
